Behind the Scenes on Kenilworth Road

An inside look at a complex tree removal project with our team leader Josh

Our recent project on Kenilworth Road offered the perfect opportunity to capture a real time look at how our arborists tackle challenging sites. With an in depth interview led by team leader Josh, viewers get a clear understanding of the planning, teamwork, and technical skill behind the job from start to finish.

Accessing the Site

One of the main challenges on this project was accessing the back of the property where several trees had to be removed. To get machinery on site safely, the team created a precise opening in the hedge line. This allowed our equipment to be brought through without causing unnecessary disruption to the garden or surrounding landscape. Careful preparation ensured controlled access and set the stage for efficient progress once the work began.

Equipment in Action

This job needed a robust combination of machinery and specialist tools. The team made use of:

  • STIHL 066 & 046 Chainsaws

  • Electric saws from Kress which we were trialling on this site

  • A Yanmar digger to help with ground clearance and controlled movement of timber

  • A Bandit chipper to process branches and reduce waste on site

Climbing, Dismantling, and Controlled Felling

Due to the confined space and proximity to buildings, several of the trees had to be climbed and sectionally dismantled. Each piece was lowered safely without risk to property or people.

Once enough space had been created, the team were able to fell a few of the remaining trees from a safe distance. This method sped up progress while still keeping safety at the forefront.

A Team Effort from Start to Finish

This project on Kenilworth Road is a great example of how thoughtful planning, the right equipment, and skilled arborists come together to handle complex sites with confidence.
