Arboriculture / Tree Surgery

Tree surgeon

As Arboricultural Association Approved Contractors the company has regular audits to ensure we are working in line with current legislation and to the appropriate standards when undertaking tree work operations.  The current requirement is British Standard 3998: Recommendations for tree work, 2010.

We offer a complete range of Arboricultural Services, a detailed description of these can be viewed by using the tool bar to the left.  All tree works completed by Beechwood trees and Landscapes Ltd are undertaken by fully qualified and experienced Arborists, who take great pride in their work in the care and maintenance of trees.

On reciept of your enquiry, via telephone, email or post, a mutually agreeable time for a site visit will be arranged, this will be undertaken (free of charge) by one of the companies experienced and knowledgeable consultants.  They will discuss the requirements and advise accordingly. The visit will be followed by a written specification and costing for the works.  On acceptance of the quotation, the works will be booked for a suitable date for the client.

If the trees are in a conservation Area or protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) consent from the local planning authority will need to be sought prior to commencing works. We can help with this process and apply for the necessary consent if required.

Prior to works we will prepare the relevant risk assessments and method statements, which will be available on request.  On arrival our team leader will prepare a site specific risk assessment which identifies any hazards that may have occured since the original visit, this will be briefed to all persons on site and liaised with the client regarding work processes.  By completing the relevant health and safety documentation, it not only ensures the welfare of our employees and the general public, but also reduces damage to property.  The risk assessment also takes environmental factors into consideration, such as nesting birds and bat roosts.

On completion of the works the site will be left tidy and free from debris.  Many clients chose to retain some of the arisings produced during the works, either as logs for firewood or woodchip for shrub bed mulch etc.  All arisings removed are taken to our depot for recycling - we aim to recycle 100% of the waste produced during our tree surgery operations, please see how we achieve this on our environmental page.
