Health and Safety
We have implemented an Occupational Health and safety Management System (OHSMS)as part of our risk management strategy to address changing legislation and protect our workforce.
Our OHSMS promotes a safe and healthy working environment by providing a framework that allows us to consistently identify and control our health and safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, aid legislative compliance and improve overall performance.
We carry out industry standard risk assessments and provide method statements for every job. We currently have 2 certificated Risk Assessors and Managers have IOSH - Managing Safely training.
We adhere to PUWER/LOLER and COSHH plus other relavant industry practices. Our in house certificated LOLER assessor undertakes 6 monthly inspections of equipment.
The company is covered by £5 million public liability insurance, and £10 million employer’s liability insurance.
Our Health & Safety Policy, Method Statement, Risk Assessment, Equal Opportunities and Environmental Policy are available for inspection and submitted with any commercial tender.
All employees hold relevant qualifications in order to undertake the allocated tasks, continuous training is provided to insure continued development of employees and the company. A skills matrix is available indicating qualifications of key personnel on request.
Qualifications held by employees include but are not restricted to:
- NPTC (National Proficiency Tests Council)
- Lantra Awards
- First/National Diplomas
- Arboricultural Association Risk Assessments
- City & Guilds
The company is also accredited/assessed by

CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK. It is a non-commercial scheme available to suppliers (those who provide goods and services) and to organisations (buyers) looking for suitably competent suppliers.
