Local Contract Award for Beechwood!
Beechwood Trees and Landscapes Ltd have been awarded the contract for the provision of Urban Forestry Services on behalf of Coventry City Council within the city boundaries. The contract is in place for five years, with an option to extend by a further five years.
Urban Forestry services will be executed on a range of different sites such as highways, parks, open spaces, woodlands, verges, commercial property sites, schools, community centres, libraries and residential estates.
Simon Rotheram, Managing Director of Beechwood Trees and Landscapes Ltd, who also lives in Coventry, said:
“We are really proud to be maintaining the trees in the City that we were established in. Coventry is our home town and the residence for many of our employees.
“Being a local company has many positive impacts in the service delivery, from local knowledge, to response times, along with sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
This all benefits the local community.”
The mobilisation of the contract has been seamless and the Beechwood teams of tree surgeons have already undertaken some exciting projects, along with the routine maintenance such as the cyclical maintenance of some of the city’s highway pollards.
In addition to the contract work undertaken, there has already been added value and giving back to the community, such as engagement and assistance with the local tree wardens and installation of bat and bird boxes at the local country park.
