Tree Work for New Development
When trees do not fit in with the proposed design, there are occasions where trees need to be removed to make way for development.
We recently completed the sensitive removal of a large Poplar tree located in Coventry City Centre on behalf of Tonks Brothers. Located on the site of Spire and Christchurch House, next to Christchurch spire. The tree had to be removed as part of the plans to develop a water park with slides, 25metre swimming pool, gym, climbing wall, squash courts, dance studio and day spa, and has been designed to reflect the city’s ribbon weaving past – with the outside appearing to be wrapped by a swirling ribbon.

The circular building will be dramatically lit at night.
Due to high usage of the area beneath the tree by pedestrians and traffic, along with a bus stop, we arranged for the work to take place on a Sunday – fortunately it was a lovely sunny day!
Our teams set to the task of dismantling this large prominent tree using advanced rigging techniques, the sections of trunk were cut and lowered to the ground using ropes and pulleys in a controlled manner to prevent any damage to the surroundings. The works were helped along with assistance of an excavator with grab, supplied by Garvey Demolition, to relocate the cuttings to our chipping machine, and timber to our crane lorry.
We removed the tree and all debris removed efficiently within the day, ready for the ground workers to continue preparing for the construction phase.
Our experienced arborists are able to tackle all types of tree work and site clearance using modern plant and equipment. We would be happy to discuss any upcoming works you have, so please get in touch on 0800 3287988 or email us email@example.com
